Focus & Scope
Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a brand new on-line double blind peer-reviewed journal interested in any aspect related to health sciences and education. Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is ready to receive manuscripts on all aspects concerning any aspect related to health sciences and education, particularly those who are original and have international relevance.
Revista Científica Ciencia Médica aims to disseminate research on health science, medical production, health practice, health area and implementation mechanisms and guides nationally and internationally. The journal encourages debates in the area of health sciences through biannual publications.
This Journal invites original empirical (qualitative or quantitative) research, literature reviews, theoretical or methodological contributions, integrative reviews, meta-analyses, comparative or historical studies, case reports, images in medicine and letters to editors on the following topics:
- general, health and illness, nutrition, phisioterapeutics, odontology and biochemestry
- Medical, nutrition, phisioterapeutics, odontology and biochemestry speciality, health and illness,
- Health and medical prevention,
- Medical errors in the practice,
- and all the health sciences
The Journal also invites contributions from all the associated disciplines. It particularly welcomes articles concerning health actualization issues in developing countries. Manuscripts examining a wide range of related topics are welcomed.
Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a completely free access journal. Readers can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of these articles without charge, only citing the origin. All submitted papers are reviewed by at least two referees before being accepted for publication. The authors who intend to submit manuscripts to the Revista Científica Ciencia Médica should follow the norms described in the publication norms manual or see the Call for paper section on the Journal’s website.
If you choose to publish using Revista Científica Ciencia Médica you will be asked to sign a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC-BY-NC) licence. If your funder requires it, you may choose to sign the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) licence instead. The Creative Commons licence replaces our standard Licence to Publish form, both available on the Author Forms Page.
Open access policy
As a membership charity and independent publisher, the Revista Científica Ciencia Médica supports sustainable Open Access models which maintain the scholarly publishing environment that is fundamental to how bachelor students improve, validate and share their research. These licences means that authors retain copyright, and that others are able to re-use the article in line with funder and institution mandates on Open Access.

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a medical journal for scientists interested in health. It is one of the largest medical journals in Bolivia with a worldwide reach based in universities, hospitals, research institutes and schools.
