Focus & Scope

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a brand new on-line double blind peer-reviewed journal interested in any aspect related to health sciences and education. Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is ready to receive manuscripts on all aspects concerning any aspect related to health sciences and education, particularly those who are original and have international relevance.

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica aims to disseminate research on health science, medical production, health practice, health area and implementation mechanisms and guides nationally and internationally. The journal encourages debates in the area of ​​health sciences through biannual publications.

This Journal invites original empirical (qualitative or quantitative) research, literature reviews, theoretical or methodological contributions, integrative reviews, meta-analyses, comparative or historical studies, case reports, images in medicine and letters to editors on the following topics:

  • general, health and illness, nutrition, phisioterapeutics, odontology and biochemestry
  • Medical, nutrition, phisioterapeutics, odontology and biochemestry speciality, health and illness,
  • Health and medical prevention,
  • Medical errors in the practice,
  • E-health
  • and all the health sciences

The Journal also invites contributions from all the associated disciplines. It particularly welcomes articles concerning health actualization issues in developing countries. Manuscripts examining a wide range of related topics are welcomed.

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a completely free access journal. Readers can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of these articles without charge, only citing the origin. All submitted papers are reviewed by at least two referees before being accepted for publication. The authors who intend to submit manuscripts to the Revista Científica Ciencia Médica should follow the norms described in the publication norms manual or see the Call for paper section on the Journal’s website.

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a medical journal for scientists interested in health. It is one of the largest medical journals in Bolivia with a worldwide reach based in universities, hospitals, research institutes and schools.

We are classed under the GDPR regulations as a data controller. That means we decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

Revista Científica Ciencia Médica is a institution in Bolivia, and a medical students journal limited by guarantee, registered in Bolivia (no. 2-3-105-12).

We obtain information about you when you use our website(s), for example, when you use register to join the journal, register for an event, or if you register to receive one of our regular newsletters.

The personal information we collect might include your title, first name, surname, gender, date of birth, address, email address, phone number, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when.

We may also collect information relating to your employment, including where you are currently employed, your job title, areas of interest/expertise and your job function if this is relevant to your interaction with us. In applications for some categories of membership we ask you to identify a referee and to provide contact information for them. This will be their name and address only.

1.4 How is your information used?

  • Process orders that you have submitted through our online area;
  • Process applications or renewal of membership of the Revista Científica Ciencia Médica;
  • Deal with entries into any competitions;

  • When you register for membership of the Revista Científica Ciencia Médica directly on our website(s) or through paper forms or over the phone.
