Hospital Medicine Topics test journal has been conceived and started by academic hospitalists who feel there are opportunities for publication availability for hospitalists. As of 2020 there are 60,000 hospitalists in the US and only 4 journals specifically dedicated only to hospital medicine worldwide. This represents a significant gap compared to other specialties. We aim to help address this journalistic gap.
This is the inaugural version of Hospital Medicine Topics, a Duke University Hospital Medicine publication, to help address the publication needs of academic hospitalists.
